The Child Care Business
Initiative provides support for Child Care Providers in the Northeast Kingdom.
We work with existing Child Care Providers, and people who are interested in
starting a child care business.
The Child Care Business
Specialist can help with:

Registering your child care and business
name

Business plans
-
Contracts and policies
-
One-on-one assistance filling out forms

Budgeting and cashflow projections

Loan or grant applications

Setting up bookkeeping
-
Business Classes: We will offer a
no-cost specialized business class in April and October. The class will be three hours
each week, for eleven weeks, during evening hours.

Business Initiative is made possible through a grant from the HHS Office of
Community Services, Job Opportunities for Low-Income Individuals.
Collaborating Partners
include the Vermont Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies,
the Vermont Child Care Providers Association, the Vermont Child Care Services
Division, the Vermont Department of Prevention, Assistance, Transition, and
Health Access and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
