Parent Child Centers _____________________________
The Parent Child Center provides programs to nurture and support families with young children: home visiting, early childhood services, parent education, education and alternative high school curriculum, parent support, on-site programs. playgroups, information and referral, and community involvement.
 

Specific Programs Include:

  • Reach UP
    Helps families achieve independence from welfare through employment, raises self-esteem, and workls toward long-term individual and family goals.

  • Parent Educator Program
    Prevents out-of-home placement of children and supports family reunification efforts.

  • Child Care Services (Newport)
    Offers comprehensive training to child care providers, child care referrals, to families, and determination of eligibility for child care subsidies.

  • Healthy Babies
    Offers family education for Medicaid-eligible families with infants 2-12 months.

  • Healthy Families (Newport)
    This program provides family support and home visiting to families at risk.

  • Teen Parent Education
    Education services to teens so they can earn their high school diploma or G.E.D.
